Kim's
Korner – Laughlin
(repeat from the last newsletter – by
popular request!)
I am really excited about our 4th
Annual Laughlin 1 Day Run this coming Saturday...and hope you can join
us. George & Halle lead this Saturday ride every year. George leads
the way while Halle chases in the truck…and all the rest of us ride in
the middle. We take the back way thru Amboy and take a couple smoke/pit
stops on the way…takes a little longer to get there, but it’s perfect for
new riders and those of us who don’t feel the need to speed. We leave the
Valley V-Twin store at 5:30am SHARP and usually get to Laughlin (we
normally park in the parking structure at the Riverside) around 10am. We
head home around 6pm if you want to do the return trip with us. No need
to reserve a spot…just be at Valley V-Twin on Saturday, April 26th
– gassed up and ready to go at 5:30am. By the way, although we’ll be
closed that day, we will have coffee and donuts waiting for you!! Call or
email me if you need or want more info: 760-342-1199 or email
.
George's Garage -
If you ride an HD FLH of any kind (FLHR, FLHTC, FLHX,
etc.) there's a new part that you might want to check out...The Touring
TXR. This deceptively simple piece of hardware will absolutely
improve the handling of your bike while at high speed or when
cornering - it makes your bike feel more 'solid'. We've installed 5 of
them so far and everyone has said that the part should come
stock from the factory - it has that much of an impact on the
ride. The TXR comes in black for $399.95, and polished for $449.95. It
takes approx. 30-45 minutes to install it. We're so convinced that
you'll love how it works that we'll guarantee it. We'll put it on
and let you take it for a ride - if you aren't completely sold on it
within a couple of blocks, we'll take it off and refund every
penny - no questions asked.

Valley V-Twin Newsletter – April 22, 2008
2 Night
cruise on the Dawn Princess - May 4-6, 2008:
If you are booked on this cruise, and are new to cruising, we are having
a pre-cruise meeting next Tuesday evening at 6:15pm at Valley V-Twin.
We’ll share some tips, tricks, and ship information with you…and you’ll
have a chance to meet some of the other Birthday Cruzers who are joining
us!
Don’t worry…the meeting shouldn’t take more than 45 minutes & we’ll
supply the pizza!! Woohoo…only 12 more days!! Cinco de Mayo in Ensenada!!
Riding
Trick:
Here's a way to fix ‘helmet hair’ – go git yerself a small
(as in travel size) can of hairspray. After you pull your helmet off,
bend over and spray the roots of your hair with the hairspray and
fluff…when you stand back up, no more flat hair!
Keep cool while looking cool...
We're bringing out the cooling
gear you need if this trend keeps up. Cleavage Coolers, Evap Cooler &
Phase Change vests & wristlets, mesh jackets and more...we look for
ways to keep you cool - because we know how dangerous it is to get
overheated on your bike.
Miss Piggy Bike Show - Wow!
This event on Saturday, April 12th at
the Palm Desert HD dealership was awesome!! Kim and Halle went and played
(no, our bikes didn't win...bummer!) and had a wonderful time. Lots of
people, lots of beautiful bikes, lots of great food (Alice told everyone
she killed a pig for the event!!), and the gifts the ladies got were
unreal. Best of all was $2,000 was raised for the Desert Cancer
Foundation. Major Kudos for Alice and Monica at the Palm Desert
dealership...and to the Ladies of Harley. Now, go get a mammogram!
Rides & Events Calendar
If you
have (or know about) an event or ride to promote, please post it on the
calendar. Lots of room to post all the necessary information and no
passwords necessary...and, as always, no cost to you!
Biker Bowling (aka Bad Bowling Bikers Anonymous
– thanks Monica!)
We're
going bowling tomorrow evening (Wednesday the 23rd) and you're invited to play
with us. Meet our very unprofessional group at
Fantasy Lanes at the Fantasy Springs Resort Casino. We'll start bowling
at 7pm sharp (guess this means you'll have to be there early to get ready
to play). Lanes are available "first come, first served".
Regular rate is $4 per game and $3.25 for shoe rental…or $14 per
hour…based on how many people show up! We do this every other Wednesday
night…and it’s FUN…when’s the last time YOU had FUN?!?!
